Creator Terms

Ownership

Creators retain ownership of original code, content, branding, and assets they submit. OnTap owns the platform, discovery system, global frame, moderation systems, and platform code.

Private package intake

When you deliberately upload a private package, you allow OnTap and its infrastructure providers to store it, check its format and manage its access, status and removal for that workflow. You retain ownership. Uploading does not publish or automatically run your app. When you choose a private preview, you allow OnTap to deliver the saved package to an isolated preview for you and authorized reviewers. Format checks do not constitute a security review or publication approval.

License to operate a Tool

By submitting a Tool for review, a creator grants OnTap a non-exclusive license to review, adapt where agreed, build, host, display, distribute, test, secure, and promote the submitted Tool and its metadata for the private review and hosting workflow. Public display and distribution begin only when you deliberately publish an approved version, and end when it is unpublished, except for limited retained copies needed for security, disputes, and operational cleanup. This license does not transfer ownership or authorize unrelated sale of your source code.

Creator responsibilities

Creators must have the rights needed for every submission; provide accurate descriptions, test fixtures, limitations, and attribution; disclose dependencies and data use; and follow the Acceptable Use Policy dated September 8, 2026 and review requirements. That policy is incorporated into this version of the Creator Terms.

Security boundary

Tools receive no platform capability by default. They may not access OnTap secrets, administration credentials, internal APIs, another creator’s storage, another Tool’s data, raw platform analytics, or user information unless a specific reviewed capability is later provided.

Review, versions, and removal

Initial publication and permission escalation require OnTap review. Published versions are immutable. OnTap may reject, unlist, suspend, remove, or roll back a Tool for security, quality, legal, operational, or policy reasons.

Analytics and monetization

The creator program may provide creators with limited aggregate usage information. Reporter identity and raw platform analytics remain private. Payouts and monetization are not currently offered; commercial terms require a separate explicit agreement.

Creator enrollment

Completing creator setup records your acceptance of these terms and the introduction to publishing. The Creator badge means enrollment is complete; it is not identity verification, endorsement, or approval of every Tool. You provide a private contact name and verified contact email, and choose the public details shown with published work. Basic account access and public Tool browsing are separate from creator privileges. Creator access may be suspended for policy or security reasons.

Onboarding agreement

Specific attribution, confidentiality, support, removal, and commercial terms may be recorded in a written onboarding agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these general Creator Terms, the written onboarding agreement controls for that Tool.
